Vaselin USP is a petroleum jelly of medicinal quality, a homogeneous mixture of highly refined and hydrotreated hydrocarbons, giving a gel which is almost odourless and with excellent shear strength and relatively high viscosity. Recommended for use where moisture and corrosion resistance is required and desired. Excellent for battery poles, connections and terminals. Widely employed in food processing plants and other industries with high requirements of purity and inert properties.
