The markets for low-carbon electricity and gas products (natural gas, biogas and hydrogen) are set to grow. On the contrary, the elimination of coal as well as a stabilization and then a decline in the demand for oil are necessary.
The energy mix of our sales will therefore change significantly and could represent in 2030: 50% natural gas, 30% petroleum products, 15% mostly renewable electricity and 5% biomass and hydrogen. This change in the mix towards less carbon-intensive products will enable us to reduce the life cycle carbon intensity of the energy products sold by at least 20% by 2030.
